Moxie Route Information

The Moxie Adventure Race Team has put together routes that are both challenging and inspiring with rugged landscape and breathtaking scenery.

We have designed 3 different routes options to suit all levels of experience and fitness.

Mini Moxie

Route Information:
Stage 1:
1Km Run

From the start you will have a 1km run which is one circuit of the start section. This is a level grass section to ease you into the event.

Stage 2:
12Km Cycle

At the start and having completed the first run you will take your bike and make your way to the tarmac to begin your 12Km cycle. The road surface is tarmac to the first transition, the hill run.

Stage 3:
1.5Km hill run

Your hill run takes place at the end of the 12Km cycle. You are advised to use trail runners as the surface is loose.

Stage 4:
750Meter Kayak

Having completed your hill run you will take to the water of Blessington lakes. We have single and double sit on top kayaks available. While there is no need to have taken kayaking lessons you would benefit from an introduction course at least. You may also use your own kayak if you have one. You will be required to use on of the buoyancy aids provided.

Stage 5:
12km Cycle
Back on your bike again you will cycle the 12km back to Tulfarris hotel with scenic views of Blessington lakes to the finish line.

28km Cycle
With your kayak stage completed you will take the 28K bike route with scenic views of the scenic Blessington lakes to bring you back to the Tulfarris hotel and the finish line.

Finish
