From the start you will have a 1km run which is one circuit of the start section. This is a level grass section to ease you into the event.
At the start and having completed the first run you will take your bike and make your way to the tarmac to begin your 12Km cycle. The road surface is tarmac to the first transition, the hill run.
1.5Km hill run
Your hill run takes place at the end of the 12Km cycle. You are advised to use trail runners as the surface is loose.
Having completed your hill run you will take to the water of Blessington lakes. We have single and double sit on top kayaks available. While there is no need to have taken kayaking lessons you would benefit from an introduction course at least. You may also use your own kayak if you have one. You will be required to use on of the buoyancy aids provided.
Back on your bike again you will cycle the 12km back to Tulfarris hotel with scenic views of Blessington lakes to the finish line.
